A "crash course" on solventless diamonds with Curtis Terps

Kicking off our first in-depth breakdown with someone who embodies hash addiction perhaps even more so than ourselves. A quick word on his first attempt at solventless diamonds from the man, the myth, the legend behind the one and only Condo Grow, Curtis Terps (@curtisterps)

“I’d been searching online for answers on how to create solventless diamonds, and I found a YouTube video from Lowtemp Plates and Ken Wall that vaguely explained the process with visuals.  It was the best and most detailed info I could find at the time, so I tried to replicate it. Things didn’t go as they were meant to and I overcooked the rosin. I consulted a hash maker who was proficient in making solventless diamonds (I was more comfortable seeking advice after the fact, rather than just asking for techniques outright).  “It’s food grade now.” He told me I screwed up and totally ruined my rosin.  I didn’t let his negativity stop me from continuing the journey. I stayed the course of the original video I found, leaving it at 100° for a few weeks. Four weeks later, and my overcooked rosin resulted in the largest solventless diamonds I had seen up until then — and now.  With diamonds, you have to be patient. Experimenting with different starting temperatures in the oven and during the following weeks, altering time in and time out, and of course, genetics/THCA content will give you vastly different results. Seems like most of the stuff we see today errs on the side of caution and trends more towards jammy-sugary consistencies.  Don’t be afraid to mess up. Accidents often lead to discovery and educate you in more ways than one.”
